Why does mouthwash work for other people but not for me?
Tonsil anatomy varies a lot. Some people have shallow, smooth tonsils that hold onto very little. Others have deep crypts, the natural folds in the tonsil, which trap food, bacteria and dead cells. Mouthwash rinses the surface, but it can't clear out a pocket. If yours are deeply folded, the same routine that works for everyone else will keep falling short.
What are tonsil stones?
